  1. Bandi Walk: One Step Closer to Our Earth

    The Korean Cultural Center in the UAE, in collaboration with the Asia Culture Center, is hosting an exhibition titled “Bandi Walk: One Step Closer to Our Earth” in celebration of the UAE’s Year of Sustainability. This exhibition, which features installation art and media art, explores the timely and profound theme of the Anthropocene, offering a perspective on the past, present, and future of the Earth’s ecosystems.     The Korean Cultural Center in the UAE and Al Ain Al Qattara Arts Center, Zayed Central Library are pleased to present a special event showcasing Korean Culture. We are honored to welcome the Korean Traditional Art Company 'GOREU' and the traditional Korean singer 'Seungjun Jung'. Korean Traditional Art Company 'GOREU' Founded in 2000, the 'GOREU' is a comprehensive performance group dedicated to creatively preserving traditional Korean arts. The word 'Goreu' is derived from a Korean word meaning 'constant'. Just like the sun and moon in the sky, the group aspired to achieve unity through sound and movement.  In this performance, they will showcase traditional Korean drum and dance performances. 2. Seungjun Jung Seungjun Jung is a traditional Korean singer-songwriter who graduated from Chung-Ang university in Korea. He is dedicated to making traditional Korean music more accessible to the general public. He actively engages in various artistic attempt and creative activities to make traditional music more familiar. He is curretly the vocalist for the group 'L'Art Pour L'Art' and is gaining recognition through various TV programs. In this performance, he will present traditional Korean song and cover a popular UAE song 'Mohem Jiddan' by Hussain Al Jassmi.

Not only does she perform traditional Korean music, but she also releases covers of various pop and K-Pop songs, actively engaging with audiences online. With 690,000 followers on TikTok and 310,000 followers on YouTube, nearly 1 million people follow her activities. In particular, her Gayageum performance video for the “Untouchable Challenge” gained 23 million views, earning her global recognition as an artist. She graduated from the Korea National University of Arts and she is a designated apprentice of the Jongmyo Jerye Ilmu, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. She has received numerous awards in competitions, such as the National New Dancer Competition, the National Gugak Center’s Onnara Traditional Dance Competition, and the Seoul International Dance Competition. After graduating from university, she has continued her artistic journey.
  5. Garden on Paper: Hanji Art Exhibition

    The Korean Cultural Center in the UAE is pleased to present beautiful works of art expressing nature through hanji (traditional Korean paper) in celebration of the UAE's "Year of Sustainability."
