One of the best romantic ballets beloved by the public for over 170 years since its debut, "Giselle"

There are two acts to this ballet, and the first performance was at the Paris Opera in 1841 with music by Adolphe Adam and choreography by Jules Perrot.

The "Dance of the Wilis" under the blue moonlight, light as air, is the epitome of the magic and sublimity of "Giselle." The transformation of Giselle is the key to the ballets climax. In the beginning and the middle of Act I, Giselle is an innocent and vivacious peasant girl, but in the end she is driven mad, betrayed by her lover. In Act II, Giselle appears as a sublime spirit that never lost her love even after death.
