(Summer Special Korean Cooking Class) Kongguksu & Gamjajeon

Boknal refers to the three hottest days of the year in Korea, which fall during the summer. These days are known as Chobok, Jungbok, and Malbok, and they usually occur in July and August by the solar calendar, and change every year according to the lunar calendar.


Kongguksu(Noodles in Cold Soybean Soup) is a traditional Korean summer dish, characterized by its cool and savory flavor from soybean broth and noodles. It is typically enjoyed during the hot summer months and is a high-protein, low-calorie food that is also good for health.


Gamjajeon(Potato Pancake) is a traditional Korean dish made primarily from grated potatoes, resembling a pancake. It is characterized by a crispy exterior and a soft interior. This simple yet delicious dish is beloved by many.

 Location: Taon Restaurant, Abu Dhabi

 Material Fee: 20AED

 Who can apply: Anyone aged 14 years or over (Excluding Koreans)

 Application Period: August 7 (Wednesday) - August 11 (Sunday), 2024
