‘Anti-Aging with K-Beauty’ Workshop
The Korean Cultural Center in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the UAE, and the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute, is pleased to host the ‘Anti-Aging with K-Beauty’ workshop. As part of the ‘Medical Korea’ initiative, this event marks the first introduction of Korean-style anti-aging skincare customized for the UAE’s hot climate. Dr. Sung-Taek Kwon, former president of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, will deliver a professional lecture on the science of aging, while world-renowned K-beauty makeup artist JED (Shin Sun-Ae) will share the latest trends and demonstrate skincare routines using vegan products made with wild ginseng from Mt. Jiri. Songpyeon (Half-Moon Rice Cake) Making Workshop (Souq Chuseok)
As part of Souq Chuseok, the Korean Cultural Center in the UAE is delighted to host a special Korean Cuisine Workshop featuring Songpyeon (Half-Moon Rice Cake). Songpyeon is a traditional Korean rice cake filled with sweet fillings and steamed over pine needles, prepared and enjoyed with family during Chuseok to celebrate the harvest season. We will be hosting a one-day hanji craft workshop where participants can create their own cheongsachorong a traditional lantern used in Korean celebrations and ceremonies a long time ago.
