Princess Hwahyeop (1733–1752), the daughter of King Yeongjo and sister of Crown Prince Sado, passed away at the age of 20 due to smallpox. Her tomb in Namyangju revealed cosmetics that are believed to have been used during her lifetime.

This exhibition, a collaborative effort by the Korea National University of Heritage, the National Palace Museum of Korea, and COSMAX, presents a modern reinterpretation of traditional cosmetics through artifact analysis and historical research.

Visit the "Princess’s Room", adorned with Princess Hwahyeop’s ceramic cosmetics, traditional furniture, and vanities, along with the work of artist Heukyoseok, to experience the blossoming beauty culture of royal women in the Joseon Dynasty.
