Abu Dhabi, 29 April 2025 - On Tuesday, the Korean Cultural Center in the UAE partnered with Zayed University's Korean Club to host the annual Korean Culture Festa, an on-campus celebration designed and led by club members to introduce their classmates to contemporary Korean culture.

Running from 11:00 am, the festival featured five intereactive stations hosted by KCC UAE : mother-of-pearl accessory making, Korean name caligraphy, Hanbok experience, Dalgona challenge, Strawberry cordial workshop.

With female students forming the majority of attendees, the craft stations, calligraphy corner and Hanbok experience zone quickly became crowd-pleasers, drawing groups of friends who took photos and shared their creation on social media. The convivial group atmosphere added an extra spark to the event.

Humour also played a role: one daring student stepped up for the Squid Game-style Dalgona challenge, only to 'crack' under plressure in less than a minute - provoking good-natured laughter from onlookers. Male students were equally intrigued; one first-time participants marvelled at the unfamiliar layers of a traditional Hanbok before snapping keepsake photos in full costume.

Building on the success of last year's edition, the festival once again demonstrated the populatiry of Korean culture among Zayed University students. KCC UAE affirmed its commitment to collaborate with local Hallyu clubs and broaden access to Korean cultural experiences across capuses nationwide.
