Recruitment Notice: 21st Friends of Korea

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea is recruiting members for the 21st Friends of Korea, a global initiative operated through the Facts About Korea service.
Friends of Korea members help promote accurate information about Korea worldwide by identifying and reporting incorrect information about Korea in overseas media and online platforms, while also introducing Korea’s culture and stories to global audiences.
Overview
Number of recruits: Approximately 40 members
Activity period: July 15 – December 31, 2026
Eligibility: Korean and non-Korean applicants aged 18 or above, residing in Korea or overseas
※ Non-Korean applicants must have sufficient Korean language ability to participate in the activities.
Main Activities
Monitoring overseas media and online content related to Korea
Reporting inaccurate or misleading information about Korea
Promoting the Facts About Korea service through online and offline activities
Participating in both individual and team-based activities

Volunteer hours recognized through the 1365 Volunteer Portal
Certificate of participation
Awards for outstanding members, including a Ministerial Commendation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism

※ Attendance is mandatory for selected members. Overseas residents may participate online in real time.

Submit the application form with a self-introduction video of approximately two minutes
