Korean Cultural Center is pleased to announce a special event to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Korea's liberation. This event is designed to honor the histrocial significance of liberation and to offer visitors the opportunity to experience and enjoy various aspects of Korean culture. We warmly invite you to join this meaningful celebration.

     ▷ Exhibition : "History of the Korean Independence Movement as Seen through Photos and Written Records"

     ▷ (Performance) Traditional Korean Dance "Until That Day Comes" & Hanbok Fashion Show

           - Time / Venue : September 19 (Fri) 6:30PM - 7:40PM ┃ Korean Cultural Center - Arirang Hall

              •︎ Kim, Moo Chol (Hallyangmu)

              •︎ Kim, Chung Woo (Seumg-mu)

           - The performance opens with a special stage, 'Until That Day Comes', honoring Korea's independence movement.

              Enjoy a variety of traditional Korean dances, vibrant K-Pop-inspired stages, and an elegant Hanbok Fashion show featuring traditional and modern designs by artisans.


     ▷ (Workshop) Hanji Atelier (Korean Traditional Paper Art)

           - Time / Venue : September 18 (Thu) 4:30PM - 6:00PM ┃ Korean Cultural Center - Classroom

           - Instructor : Do Dance Company Aritsts

           - Create your own handcrafted coasters and fans using Hanji and express your creativity.

           - Capacity : Limited to 15 participants


     ▷ (Class) Gayageum Class

           - Time / Venue : September 15 (Mon) - 16 (Tue), 18 (Thu) 7:00PM - 8:30PM ┃ Korean Cultural Center - Classroom

           - Instructor : Hwang, Eun Suk (Jeonbuk State Gugak Center Gayageum Professor)

           - Learn to play popular K-Pop songs using the Gayageum, a traditional Korean string instrument.

           - Capacity : Limited to 3 participants

           - Note : As the goal is to complete one full song, participants must attend all three-day sessions.


     ▷ (Class) Janggu

           - Time / Venue : September 15 (Mon) - 16 (Tue), 18 (Thu) 7:00PM - 8:30PM ┃ Korean Cultural Center - Classroom

           - Instructor : Kim, Chung Woo (Holder of the Korean National Intangible Cultural Heritage)

           - Learn the rhythms of the Janggu, a traditional Korean Drum.

           - Capacity : Limited to 6 participants

           - Note : As the goal is to complete one full song, participants must attend all three-day sessions.


      ▷ (Class) K-Beauty

           - Time / Venue : September 18 (Thu) 7:00PM - 8:30PM ┃ Korean Cultural Center - Arirang Hall

           - Instructor : Oh, Yun Bin (Amorepacific Corporation Instructor)

           - Learn the secrets of "Empress Makeup", bleding traditional elegance with modern beauty trends.

           - Capacity : Limited to 50 participants


      ▷ (Exhibition) History of the Korean Independence Movement as Seen through Photos and Written Records

           - Time / Venue : September 15 (Mon) - September 19 (Fri) 10:00AM - 8:30AM ┃ Korean Cultural Center - Library

           - Supported by the Independence Hall of Korea

           - This exhibition features 16 rare histrocial photos and documents, including the Taegeukgi(Korean National Flag) signed by Kim Gu, exploring the struggles and triumphs of Korea's independence movement.
